Actually done something other than buying!

I have just finished the sewing box I bought a while ago. I've painted it cream and lined it with Laura Ashley 'Abbeville' paper.

Hopefully I will someday get around to doing my own one! He must be very jealous of his friend's new makeover! He is going to be sold (fingers crossed) but I'm off to a car boot tomorrow so will no doubt find another to jump the queue.

I made this flower pincushion too with some of my CK fabric samples I had lying around. I'm quite pleased with it for my first attempt at this design.

  1. Well done on your makes, the pincushion is really pretty and novel.

    Love and blessings

  2. Hello...lovely of you to pop by....

Your home looks super cute and is very shabby chic and wonderful!xxx

  3. you've done a great job with that - well done. I really want to find a sewing box like that but not for a while as need to create some space or dh might freak!!

  4. Thanks for popping by, love the sewing box & the pin cushion is great :)

  5. ooh, what a lovely blog. I will return when I have more time. I'm loving what I see.

The wallpaper came from ...... (insert a drumroll) ... B&Q! Yep, that's right. Good old B&Q. I saw it advertised in the spring and said 'that's it, that's exactly what I want'. It's called 'Arthouse Vintage Nicky Rose Wallapaper' Cheaper than Cath and Laura, but along those lines. A bargain at £16.98 per roll.

You can see it here, if you copy and paste the code in your broswer http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.jsp?action=detail&fh_secondid=10407506&fh_view_size=10&fh_start_index=30&fh_location=%2f%2fcatalog01%2fen_GB&fh_search=vintage+wallpaper&fh_eds=%c3%9f&fh_refview=search&ts=1248633872074&isSearch=true
